What sort of computer network infrastructure will we need?
The WeCare™ Database resides on a Server computer that all other computers access across a network. Network diagram
How does the Exception Reporting work?
The system allows for the capture of any event or exception by any facility staff member. The WeCare™ System's management process ensures that these events are tracked to resolution and closure with a simple audit trail. Hence the management team can be sure that no issue of importance will be lost.
Has WeCare™ been endorsed by any Government departments?
The Government will not endorse any commercial product. However a number of facilities using WeCare™ have been through Accreditation and RCS reviews and officers have accepted the data provided by our system.
How does the system compare with signed progress notes?
A progress notes report is available on our system, consolidating exceptions and notes about any resident. Each staff person logs in with a unique user ID and password, then activities are date and time stamped, ensuring personal accountability. This method of data collection ensures that all professional and legal requirements are met.
Who can use the system?
All staff are able to be involved in the capture and use of appropriate data. For example the catering staff could have available immediate nutritional changes for each resident as well as the maintenance team having information on any possible OH&S requirements across the whole facility.
How do we control who sees what?
The system features varying levels of authority, controlled by user ID and passwords, so staff only see the parts of the system relevant to their work requirements, for example Management, Care, Domestic and Maintenance staff would have access to different areas. This ensures staff are not overwhelmed by information they will never use and that resident privacy is maintained.
